Tasting Notes on Galipette Brut
My initial perception of Galipette Brut is that of a really agreable, easy to drink sparkling cider that fits perfectly with a sunny day in the park. There are strong notes of poached apples and some mild notes of pears. The mouthfeel is light but with an explosion of flavours, especially thanks to the lively and energetic perlage. Nonetheless, to me this came across as too sweet to really label it as “brut”.

As per their website, Galipette Cidre adheres to a philosophy of minimal intervention, striving to maintain the natural character of the fruit. It selects apples from different parts of Brittany and Normandie regions creating blends that arrive straight to the palate and captivate our senses.

Food pairing
Galipette Brut’s sweet, fruity, and sparkling profile pairs beautifully with a variety of dishes. Its bright acidity and lively bubbles complement soft cheeses like Brie or Camembert, as well as rich, savory dishes such as roast pork. The cider’s natural sweetness also makes it a great match for spicy Asian cuisine, balancing the heat with its refreshing character.
